Start Your Day at Sunrise
We invite Destination NT participants to a guided sunrise walk at Olive Pink Botanic Garden.
Get moving before your conference responsibilities with a walk up Tharrarletneme (Tharl-an-anema) / Annie Myers Hill, taking in spectacular views across Alice Springs/Mparntwe and the MacDonnell Ranges.
Along the way, encounter our gorgeous Black-footed Rock-wallabies and discover the unique plants, wildlife and landscapes of Central Australia.
Finish your morning with a light breakfast, coffee and conversation in the Garden.
Experience our new tourism product and let us know what you think!
We know it's an early start at this time of year, but we promise the sunrise will be worth getting out of bed for!
When: Friday 13th November
Time: 5:30 am-7:30 am (the early start ensures we see the sunrise)
Where: Olive Pink Botanic Garden, 27 Tuncks Road, Alice Springs (10-minute walk from town and hotels). Meet at the Garden Café.
What to know!
The sunrise lookout is approximately a 10-minute walk up a bush path. Please wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear, bring a water bottle, and walk according to the conditions and your own ability. We will provide head torches for the walk before sunrise.
